To lead the optimization, performance improvement, and capacity management of the Radio Access Network, ensuring high-quality service delivery across 3G, 4G, and 4G+ (LTE-Advanced) networks. The role focuses on enhancing network KPIs, improving customer experience, and ensuring efficient utilization of radio resources.

Job Description

  • Lead RAN optimization activities to improve network performance and user experience.
  • Monitor and analyze network KPIs, including accessibility, retainability, and throughput.
  • Perform parameter tuning and optimization for 3G, 4G, and 4G+ networks.
  • Conduct drive tests and analyze results to improve network coverage and performance.
  • Identify and resolve coverage gaps, interference, and capacity issues.
  • Optimize handovers, neighbor relations, and mobility parameters.
  • Perform root cause analysis of network performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support capacity planning and traffic management strategies.
  • Collaborate with planning and rollout teams on new site integration and optimization.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of radio resources and spectrum efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance using OSS and performance management tools.
  • Analyze customer complaints and implement solutions to improve service quality.
  • Support the troubleshooting of complex RAN issues and escalations.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies and continuous improvement plans.
  • Maintain and update network optimization documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with network design standards and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new optimization techniques and tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Work closely with Core, Transmission, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end service quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement in network performance and customer experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in RAN optimization and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of 3G, 4G, and 4G+ (LTE-Advanced) technologies.
  • Experience with RAN optimization tools and OSS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with drive testing and analysis tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo).
  • Strong understanding of radio network KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Experience in parameter tuning and network configuration.
  • Knowledge of RF planning and radio propagation principles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor environments, including Huawei, Ericsson, and Nokia.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in customer experience and service quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of IP networking and transmission fundamentals is an advantage.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Willingness to travel for field optimization activities.
  • Certification in telecommunications or vendor-specific technologies is an advantage.
