The Graduate Engineer - RAN will support the planning, optimization, monitoring, and maintenance of the Radio Access Network (RAN), ensuring high network availability, performance, and quality of service. The role provides hands-on experience in mobile network technologies including 3G/4G/4G+, enabling the graduate to develop technical expertise in wireless communications and telecom operations.

 

 

Job Description

  • Support monitoring of RAN network performance and identify faults, outages, or degradation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting radio network issues and coordinating with field teams for resolution.
  • Support optimization activities to improve network coverage, capacity, and quality.
  • Assist in the configuration and integration of new base stations and RAN equipment.
  • Monitor KPIs such as call drop rate, accessibility, throughput, and latency.
  • Support drive test analysis and radio network performance assessments.
  • Assist in parameter tuning and optimization of radio network elements.
  • Support the implementation of network upgrades, expansions, and modernization projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of performance and optimization reports.
  • Collaborate with Core, Transmission, and NOC teams to support end-to-end service assurance.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to network quality.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of network configurations and changes.
  • Participate in site acceptance testing and commissioning activities.
  • Support vendor coordination for issue resolution and project implementation.
  • Learn and use radio planning and optimization tools.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering best practices.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of mobile network technologies (3G/4G/4G+).
  • Familiarity with wireless communication concepts, including RF fundamentals, propagation, and interference.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP, routing, and switching.
  • Exposure to radio planning or optimization tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of telecommunications KPIs and performance metrics is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in RAN.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Certifications in telecommunications or networking are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits when required.
