Job Description

  • Engineering Design Support: Assist in developing civil designs, structural drawings, and technical specifications for telecommunications infrastructure projects, including greenfield tower foundations and site preparations.
  • Field Coordination: Coordinate daily field activities, monitor construction progress, and generate structured reports on project milestones and potential site bottlenecks.
  • Quality Assurance & Inspections: Conduct routine site inspections to ensure all civil works comply with strict company standards, engineering guidelines, and local construction regulations.
  • Commercial & Cost Control: Prepare material and labor quotations, assist in managing project expenses within defined budgets, and maintain comprehensive records of contractors and field activities.
  • Project Planning & Safety: Support fieldwork planning, site remediation, and the enforcement of occupational health and safety (OHS) protocols for field staff and contractors.
  • Surveys & Feasibility: Participate in initial site surveys, technical risk assessments, and feasibility studies for regional network rollout initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field (such as Architecture or Quantity Surveying) from a recognized institution.
  • Academic Standing: A strong cumulative GPA demonstrating technical competence.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and other modern engineering design software. Strong foundational knowledge of structural design, concrete casting, and site layout management.
  • Experience: While this is a graduate role, prior internship experience or exposure to civil construction and infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
  • Core Competencies:
    • A proactive self-starter with a clear career aspiration in telecommunications infrastructure and civil works.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a solutions-oriented approach to complex field issues.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work under strict deadlines and minimal supervision.

  • Certifications: Any relevant professional affiliations or certifications in civil engineering or project management would be an added advantage.
