Job Description

The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for building the equity of the Vodafone brand whilst managing marketing plans and budgets in order to achieve a result-driven culture across the consumer division. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the advancement of business developments opportunities, lead and set precedence in the vast range of Vodafone PNG’s product portfolios.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•    Develop and execute consumer market strategies, budget and forecast for Vodafone PNG.
•    Develop a consistent and uniform approach to research, marketing, and brand management to ensure alignment with global standards.
•    Develop and implement marketing plans with a clear strategy for communication.
•    Responsible for public communication, public relations, and protecting the brand image.
•    Responsible for overall sales, distribution, and market share growth for the consumer market.
•    Coach and harness frontline staff learning and growth.
•    Communicate marketing strategic initiatives to the Board and Executive Management.
•    Lead the frontline team by example, fostering a dynamic environment that drives sustained year-on-year growth and achievement of business objectives
•    Manage relationships with key business partners, internal and external stakeholders.
•    Continuous improvements and innovations to products and services.
•    Responsible for product pricing and portfolio management
 

Desired Skills and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications in business, marketing, or related field
•    Five or more years of experience in a similar executive marketing capacity
•    A proven track record of exceptional performance in a competitive and preferably a technology-oriented business
•    Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse business partners, the Media, Vodafone Group personnel, clients and staff
•    Ability to think strategically and creatively
•    Applicants must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
•    Must possess the ability to quickly adapt and assimilate into a values-based organization model.
•    Ability to manage and lead a dynamic and highly skilled team responsible for a diverse range of products.
