Job Description

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, developing strategies, and leading a sales team to achieve revenue targets within their assigned province/branch in Papua New Guinea. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, extensive sales experience, and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.

•    Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets.
•    Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
•    Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional plans that drive sales.
•    Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
•    Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
•    Foster a positive and high-performing sales culture within the team.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
•    Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
•    Conduct regular visits to customer sites to understand their needs and provide solutions.
•    Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
•    Manage territorial sales budgets and resources effectively.
•    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
•    Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations to expand market reach.
•    Represent the company at regional events and trade shows to promote products and services.
 

Desired Skills and Experience

•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage.
•    Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the telecommunications industry, with at least 3 years in a
managerial role.
•    Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
•    Strong leadership and team management skills.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to travel within the region as required.
•    Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
•    In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications market in Papua New Guinea.
•    Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
•    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•    High level of integrity and professionalism.
