The Site Acquisition Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing suitable locations for network infrastructure sites (e.g., network towers, rooftop sites, fiber hubs). The role ensures that all sites meet technical, legal, regulatory, and commercial requirements to support the company’s network rollout and expansion objectives.

Conduct site surveys to identify potential locations for new network infrastructure based on coverage objectives and radio planning inputs.

Evaluate site feasibility considering technical parameters, accessibility, power availability, environmental factors, and cost implications.

Liaise with landlords, property owners, and local authorities to assess site suitability.

Negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and contractual conditions with landlords and property owners.

Coordinate with legal teams to ensure timely drafting and execution of lease agreements, MOUs, and permits.

Maintain records of all agreements, approvals, and correspondence related to site acquisition.

Secure all necessary regulatory permits, zoning approvals, and local authority clearances for site construction and operation.

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards as well as PNG regulations.

Collaborate with network planning, engineering, and civil works teams to ensure acquired sites meet technical design requirements.

Support project management teams in ensuring that site readiness aligns with project rollout timelines.

Provide regular progress reports and updates on site acquisition status to management.

Maintain an up-to-date database of all acquired, pending, and rejected sites.

Generate periodic reports on acquisition performance, challenges, and recommendations for process improvements.
