Job Description

Vodafone PNG is seeking a proactive and detail oriented QHSEW Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance, promoting employee wellbeing, and implementing best practices in areas of quality, occupational health, safety, and environmental management. Desired Skills and Experience

•    Implement and monitor the company’s QHSEW Management System.
•    Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all departments.
•    Facilitate QHSEW Committee meetings, ensuring actions and recommendations are implemented.
•    Lead workplace safety initiatives, awareness sessions, and staff health & wellbeing programs.
•    Maintain compliance with PNG’s Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
•    Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective actions.
•    Coordinate annual health screening and safety training programs.
•    Liaise with external regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure full compliance.
•    Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly QHSEW reports for management and board review.
•    Support the implementation of the company’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and related sustainability initiatives.
•    Will ensure QHSEW Framework implementation, compliance and coordinate internal and external QHSEW audits.  
•    Will ensure monthly stakeholders reporting, including Board reporting on all areas of QHSWE.
•    Will work with the company’s PR Specialist to develop communications plan for Company’s QHSWE initiatives.

Experience: Skills & Competencies:
•    Degree or certified tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Environment Management or related field. 
•    3–5 years of experience in similar role – QHSEW coordination, compliance, or quality management preferably in service, construction, manufacturing or telecommunications industry.
•    Proven ability and in-depth knowledge to deliver Quality Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Environment Wellbeing strategies.
•    Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination and management to deliver QHSEW outcomes.
•    Strong technical understanding of QHSEW issues, and proven track record of managing projects and audit/compliance programs.
•    Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite with proven ability to produce various types of reports, policies, procedures and documentation, including statistical analysis.
•    Experience in producing training content and material, conducting on-the-job training, and providing guidance and support on QHSEW matters and issues.
•    Strong work ethics, punctual and excellent communication skills.
•    Demonstrated experience working with ISO accreditation to Quality, Safety and Environment standards would be a distinct advantage.
